Ultrasonic Cleaning Just Right for Carburetor Refurbishment
April 19th, 2012You’ve got to admire the directness of something that is exactly what it says it is. Take this video on how to clean a carburetor in an ultrasonic cleaner. The narrator describes a little bit about the process of cavitation—those tiny bubbles that clean surfaces—but mostly he just demonstrates. He places the carburetor pieces into the cleaner, without needing to remove gaskets, and without worrying about the eroding effects of harsh cleaners. The nooks and crannies of the carburetor parts are cleaned efficiently and effectively. The video doesn’t show the after state, but you can follow up the producer’s other videos if carb rebuilding is your thing.
