Checklist for “Body Art Establishments” Helps Maintain Safety
February 1st, 2012
Piercing and tattooing can pose a health risk, but ultrasonic cleaning helps maintain cleanliness.
When you get some art on your body, you’ll probably want to be sure you visit a body art establishment that is in compliance with government regulations. For example, in Massachusetts, you’ll want one that has been evaluated in accordance with this inspection form. The form outlines checks for proper permit display and three years worth of employee and client records. In addition to paperwork checks, there are inspections of the physical facilities as well. Those inspections include general cleanliness of walls and floors, a waiting area physically separate from the procedure area, and that an ultrasonic cleaner is present and working.
