How to Use a Precision Scale—And Not Annoy Your Lab TA
February 17th, 2012We’ve earlier drawn your attention to other videos in the series produced by students at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Their videos are clear, direct, accurate, and reasonably comprehensive introductions to the use of various laboratory equipment. For example, this one introduces the use of the open pan balance, otherwise known as a precision scale. In addition to outlining the process of taring and weighing, the presenter also outlines some basic lab procedures—such as cleaning up your own spills! If I remember my freshman year accurately, that’s probably a pretty good reminder.
