Powerful industrial-scale ultrasonic cleaners operating at a user-selectable 25 or 45 kHz ultrasonic frequency are designed for continuous operation up to 12 hours. They handle cleaning tasks ranging from removing coarse contaminants to delicately cleaning surface coatings.
The new Elmasonic X-tra Basic ultrasonic cleaner series, now available from Tovatech, is offered in 6 capacities from 6 to 66 gallons. The strong cleaning action is supported by a Sweep mode that continuously shifts the sound field for more homogenous distribution of ultrasonic cavitation energy throughout the bath, thus optimizing the cleaning results.
For particularly tough work an operator-activated Pulse mode provides bursts of intensified ultrasonic cleaning power. The most tenacious contaminants can be removed in Pulse mode. A Degas feature is available to remove entrained and dissolved air from the bath. This process increases cleaning efficiency by removing cavitation-inhibiting entrapped air from new solutions.
Mounted on rollers for easy moving through the work area, the X-tra Basic series includes a temperature control adjustable from 30˚C to 80˚C (86˚F to 176˚F). Should bath temperature reach 90˚C (194˚F) due to the heat induced by ultrasonic energy, the unit will shut off to avoid possible damage to the products being cleaned. An ergonomically arranged control panel enables personnel to set and monitor the operation. The units’ LED displays show set and actual values for each ultrasonic cleaning operation.
The cleaning tanks on all units are of cavitation-resistant stainless steel and have slanted bottoms to facilitate draining the cleaning solution and removing debris. Housings are fabricated of AISI type 321 stainless steel to provide strength and corrosion resistance.
