Why use acid-resistant tubs (insert trays)
Isolate harsh chemistries, protect tank surfaces, and keep workflows safe and repeatable. In brochures, these may also be labeled as acid-resistant insert trays.
Tank protection
Prevent corrosion or etching when using mineral acids or stainless-unsafe solvents.
- Use tubs whenever chemistry is not stainless-safe.
Chemistry isolation
Keep aggressive liquids contained while the tank runs water or mild solutions.
- Works well with basket inserts or clamps.
Match to your tank
Sizes align to standard Elmasonic tank families for stable fit.
- Choose by 30/40/60, 100/120, 180, or 300.

Acid tub / insert tray FAQs
When do I need an acid tub or insert tray?
Use a tub (also called an insert tray) when the chemistry is not stainless-safe or when working with strong mineral acids.
Are solvents compatible?
Confirm that the solvent is polypropylene-compatible and has a flash point >= 100 C before use.
Can I use baskets in the tub?
Yes. However, note that the standard basket for your tank will not fit inside the tub. A smaller basket must be used.
How do I pick the right size?
Choose the tub/insert tray matched to your tank family (30/40/60, 100/120, 180, 300). We can confirm fit.
